Do you have uncomfortabe rooms, high energy bills?

Are you considering doing some Insulation or HVAC upgrades?

If so, we recommend completing a $100 Home Energy Audit prior to doing upgrades so that you can take advantage of Maryland’s Home Performance with Energy Star Program through your local Electric Utility Company! These programs are all subsidized through the Empower Maryland Program.

Advantages of Doing Home Performance

  • Qualify for up to $10,000 in Rebates – Rebates for energy improvmenet work for things like Attic Insulation, Crawlspace Insulation, AEROSEAL Duct Sealing, and HVAC Replacements are only available for Electric Utility customers who do a Home Energy Audit prior to improvement work. These rebates are up to $10,000 or 75% of the total cost of the improvement work. Approximately 9 out of 10 of our home improvement estimates utilize these rebate programs.  It makes our already competitive pricing on energy efficiency improvements even more affordable
  • Qualification for Federal Tax Incentives – Various improvements will also qualify for federal tax credits from the INFLATION REDUCTION ACT, so you can save even more. Most incentives through the Inflation Reduction Act require completion of a Home Energy Audit to qualify.
  • Eligibility for Subsized 0% Interest Financing – Energy efficiency improvements can also be financed at little or no interest, such as through the CEA LOAN PROGRAM. As of October 1st, 2024, this financing option is only available to customers who are BGE electric customers.
  • Advanced Diagnostic Testing – Testing utilizes building science technologies such as blower door testing and thermal imagery.  This helps us to better understand your property and make recommendations that will make comfort improvements and lower your utility bills. Performing this testing, along with giving an estimate for energy efficiency improvements, makes the improvements eligible for significant cash rebates from the EmPower Maryland program.  You pay a monthly Empower Maryland surcharge on your electric and/or gas utility bills that helps lower the costs of energy efficiency improvements such as attic and crawl space insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, and HVAC upgrades.
  • Detailed Home Energy Audit Report – Your report will include the scope(s) of work, estimates for each scope, and calculated guaranteed cash rebates from your utility based on your current average power bills.  This helps lower the costs of energy efficiency and comfort home improvements. which will help defray the associated costs.
  • Certified and Trained Energy Efficiency Experts – You will work with a company that employs both technicians and office staff that are building science certified versus many other contractors who may not have the prerequisite experience and qualifications.

We will always provide a free estimate, if desired, but the work will not be eligible for these cash rebates!
